THOMSON REUTERS ANNOUNCES iPHONE® SYNCHRONIZATION

Thomson Reuters accountants and tax software users gain access to popular communication tool.

Dexter, Mich., August 24, 2009—The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has announced the synchronization of its Virtual Office CS program with the Apple® iPhone.

Thanks to ActiveSync® technology, Virtual Office CS now offers Microsoft® Exchange synchronization with additional handheld devices beyond the Blackberry®. This provides NetStaff CS® users 24/7 wireless access to their Microsoft® Outlook® (Exchange) data. Once a user activates his or her handheld device, he or she will have access to the following personal information from Virtual Office CS: iPhone calendar, contacts, and email, and Windows Mobile® calendar, contacts, email, and tasks.

“As always, we are listening to our customers as we all adjust to and enjoy an increasingly mobile world. Synchronization of calendars, email, and contacts with handheld devices is tremendously useful for professionals on the go who need to stay in contact with the office and clients. This enhancement is an important part of being a true technology partner with our customers,” said Teresa Mackintosh, CPA.CITP, senior vice president, Professional Software & Services for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters.

These new capabilities are part of the latest web services release designed to streamline software navigation, aid in firm workflow, improve scalability, and increase integration with other products.
